Innovation for social good and the use of technology to help humanity are Vivian Lan’s biggest drives, who in addition to studying graphic design at CDMX, majoring in fine arts in New York and being a Montessori teacher, has always been involved in projects of social impact. As a social entrepreneur and consultant with experience in leadership, innovation and design, Vivian believes in tackling global grand challenges through creativity and collaboration; working together to change the world. After several years of working with marginalized communities in Mexico, Israel and Kenya, in 2011 she launched a cost-free social media campaign to help the hunger in Africa caused by the drought, in which she raised $ 100,000 USD in 10 days, brought together 57 international volunteers and delivered 40 tons of food and medical care to 20,000 affected people.
In 2013, she attended Singularity University at NASA, where she studied the use of exponential technologies, to integrate them into humanitarian work and apply them to change the world. Ocean exploration
John Sparks travels the world in search of bioluminescent and biofluorescent marine organisms. His research is focused on the evolution and diversification of the bacteria-driven bioluminescent signaling systems in ponyfishes—small, silvery fishes restricted to the Indian Ocean and Western Pacific that have light organs surrounding their throats—as well as the evolution of specialized hearing in marine and freshwater fishes. His recent fieldwork includes biotic surveys and inventories of freshwater and nearshore marine fishes in Madagascar, the Indo-Pacific region, South America, the Western Atlantic, and the Caribbean. Dr. Sparks is curator-in-charge and associate curator in the Department of Ichthyology, a professor in the Richard Gilder Graduate School at the Museum, and an adjunct professor in the Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Environmental Biology at Columbia University. Dr. Sparks received the M.Sc. degree in biology from the University of Michigan in 1997 and the Ph.D. degree in ecology and evolutionary biology from the University of Michigan in 2001.
Transhumanism
Neil Harbisson is a Catalan-raised, British-born contemporary artist and cyborg activist best known for having an antenna implanted in his skull and for being officially recognised as a cyborg by a government. The antenna allows him to perceive visible and invisible colours via audible vibrations in his skull including infrareds and ultraviolets as well as receive colours from space, images, videos, music or phone calls directly into his head via internet connection. Harbisson identifies himself both as a cyborg; he feels he is technology, and as a transpecies; he no longer feels 100% human. His artwork explores identity, human perception, the connection between sight and sound and the use of artistic expression via new sensory inputs. In 2010 he co¬-founded the Cyborg Foundation with Moon Ribas, an international organisation that aims to help humans become cyborgs, defend cyborg rights and promote cyborg art. In 2017 he co-founded the Transpecies Society, an association that gives voice to people with non-human identities, defends the freedom of self-design and offers the creation of new senses and new organs in community.
Future of food
Mark Post has a medical degree and a PhD in Pulmonary Pharmacology. He has been an Assistant Professor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Professor of Vascular Physiology at Maastricht University and Professor of Angiogenesis in Tissue Engineering at the TU/e. He soon became involved in a Dutch government-funded program investigating “in vitro meat”, which resulted in the world's first lab-grown burger in 2013. In October 2015, Post and food technologist Peter Verstrate announced the launch of their company Mosa Meat, which seeks to bring cultured meat to the market.

DDaniel Kraft is a Stanford and Harvard trained physician-scientist, inventor, entrepreneur, and innovator and is serving as the Chair of the XPRIZE Pandemic Alliance Task Force. With over 25 years of experience in clinical practice, biomedical research and healthcare innovation, Kraft has chaired the Medicine for Singularity University since its inception in 2008, and is founder and chair of Exponential Medicine, a program that explores convergent, rapidly developing technologies and their potential in biomedicine and healthcare. Following undergraduate degrees from Brown University and medical school at Stanford, Daniel was Board Certified in both Internal Medicine & Pediatrics after completing a Harvard residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital & Boston Children’s Hospital, and fellowships in hematology, oncology and bone marrow transplantation at Stanford. Daniel chair the XPRIZE Pandemic Alliance Task Force. He is often called upon to speak to the future of health, medicine and technology and has given 5 TED and TEDMED Talks. He has multiple scientific publications and medical device, immunology and stem cell-related patents through faculty positions with Stanford University School of Medicine and as clinical faculty for the pediatric bone marrow transplantation service at the University of California San Francisco. Daniel is a member of the Kaufman Fellows Society (Class 13) and member of the Inaugural (2015) class of the Aspen Institute Health Innovators Fellowship. Daniel’s academic research has focused on: stem cell biology and regenerative medicine, stem cell derived immunotherapies for cancer, bioengineering human T-cell differentiation, and humanized animal models. His research has been published in journals that include Nature and Science. His clinical work has focused on: bone marrow / hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for malignant and non-malignant diseases in adults and children, medical devices to enable stem cell-based regenerative medicine, including marrow-derived stem cell harvesting, processing, and delivery. He also implemented the first text-paging system at Stanford Hospital. He is heavily involved in digital health, founded Digital.Health, and is on the board of Healthy.io and advises several digital health-related startups and established healthcare organizations. Daniel recently founded IntelliMedicine, focused on personalized, data-driven, precision medicine. He is also the inventor of the MarrowMiner, an FDA approved device for the minimally invasive harvest of bone marrow, and founded RegenMed Systems, a company developing technologies to enable adult stem cell based regenerative therapies. Daniel is an avid pilot and has served in the Massachusetts and California Air National Guard as an officer and flight surgeon with F-15 & F-16 fighter Squadrons. He has conducted research on aerospace medicine that was published with NASA, with whom he was a finalist for astronaut selection.

Juliana, is an entrepreneur with ample experience in the fields of e-commerce, retail, technology and consumer logistics. She has built her career under a vision of creating companies in Latin America with the purpose of building a globalized, fair and competitive commerce, through the creation of industries based in tech companies. Presently, she is co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer of Envioclick, the first intelligent logistics platform, which operates in Colombia and Mexico. It connects delivery and cargo companies with businesses and through a technology unique in Latin America, offers its clients having an automatized logistics operation with the highest efficiency level of the market. This achieves savings of up to 70% for companies in operation costs and for the end customer, something similar to Amazon Prime. Before joining EnvioClick, Juliana was the Regional Commercial and Seller Experience Director in Linio.com. She leaded the commercial strategy and innovated with the construction of what now is known in Latin America as the ecosystem model for the Seller. She also led projects and teams dedicated to commerce, both national and international, to product and finance in companies like Spectrum Brads, Alqueria, Telefónica and Home Sentry. She was founder and CEO of JS Events. Juliana lived in Colombia and graduated from the CESA Business School, where she was awarded with the Excellence in Entrepreneurship award. She also has a Master’s in Strategic Administration, Finance and International Commerce from a scholarship at the Francisco de Vitoria University in Spain, where she graduated first in her class. Dr. Ayesha Khanna is Co-Founder and CEO of ADDO AI, an artificial intelligence (AI) solutions firm and incubator. She has been a strategic advisor on artificial intelligence and smart cities to leading corporations and governments. Ayesha also serves on the Board of Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), the Singapore government's agency that develops and regulates its world class technology sector. She is the co-author of Hybrid Reality: Thriving in the Emerging Human-Technology Civilization. ● Creation and operation of Educational Programs abroad, especially China, the United States, Canada and Eastern Europe.
● Projects focused on the transfer of technology between University-Business, with large international companies, as well as for small and medium business.
● Creation of 5 Technology and Innovation Parks, in different states.
● Projects of Regional Development and of Great Vision, as well as of Attractive Cities in diverse states of the republic.
His responsibilities included the sustainable operation and academic quality of the ITESM Campus, as well as the relationship with the Regional Councils that sponsor the Tecnológico de Monterrey and the representation of the Institute before various academic and researchers bodies, with society and government.
His current field of academic expertise and consulting is Leadership.
He has actively participated in social benefit organizations and philanthropy projects in each of the communities where he has professionally developed.
His main personal hobbies are reading and activities related to nature, such as sailing, mountain biking, hiking.
After a successful career of 35 years at Tecnológico de Monterrey, he decided to retire to pursue long-awaited professional projects with social impact and contribution to the country’s development.

Technology Futurist, Geopolitics Expert, Sci-Fi Novelist, Keynote Speaker
Jamie Metzl is a technology futurist and geopolitical expert, novelist, entrepreneur, media commentator, and Senior Fellow of the Atlantic Council. In February 2019, he was appointed to the World Health Organization expert advisory committee on developing global standards for the governance and oversight of human genome editing.
Jamie previously served in the U.S. National Security Council, State Department, Senate Foreign Relations Committee and as a Human Rights Officer for the United Nations in Cambodia. Samantha Radocchia, or “Sam Rad” for short, is an entrepreneur, keynote speaker, author, and emerging tech advocate who combines the mindsets of an anthropologist and a technologist.

Anita is the CEO and Co-Founder of Iris.ai; one of the 10 most innovative artificial intelligence companies in 2017 according to Fast Company. Iris.ai is an AI Science assistant, able to read and connect scientific knowledge, that will grow up to be the world’s first AI Researcher within a decade.
Anita was announced by Forbes to be one of the World’s Top 50 Women in Tech in 2018. She thoroughly enjoys her time on stage, has done two TEDx talks and 500 startups, SU Global Grand Challenges Awards and TechCrunch Disrupt Startup Battlefield alumni.
Anita has never had what she refers to as "a real job" and Iris.ai is her fourth own startup. The past 10 years of her career have spanned over 9 industries including developing an e-learning tool in Silicon Valley, performing theatre for babies, reducing energy consumption in the process industry through heat exchanger network optimization, getting 30 (mainly middle-aged, male) engineers to dance to ABBA in front of their co-workers, facilitating solar light business creation in Kenya, being in the center of several startups crashing and burning, organizing entrepreneurial conferences and trying to disrupt the recruitment industry. She also dropped by 6 universities on the way. And built a race car.

Lauri Reuter is an expert in the future of food, and the guy to ask if you’ve ever wondered what we are going to eat in the future, and how all that food is going to be produced. He works as a Senior Specialist of Disruptive Technologies at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.
He has a PhD. in Biotechnology and is an alumnus of the Singularity University Global Solutions Program (2017). This year, he was listed as one of the 35 under 35 shapers of the future in Finland.
He is a specialist in cell biology, genetic engineering, and protein production, and is passionate about securing food production in the future. On this planet and the next one. In his talks, Lauri questions some of the most ingrained assumptions on food and visions a post-agricultural green world.
Orchestra of the Americas
Ana Andrea was born in Maracay, Venezuela. She started her musical studies in the Orchestra System and Youth Choirs of Venezuela. She has participated as a soloist in varied settings with Venezuela’s orchestras. She was awarded the “Bolivarian Order of the City of Maracay” in its only class for academic and cultural merit. In 2013 she finished her studies at the “Federico Villena” and gained her Master Performer certification. She has performed with the Orchestra of the Americas in 2016, 2017 and 2018. She has been directed by the likes of Simon Ratlle, Gustavo Dudamel, Benjamin Zander, Carlos Miguel Prieto, Rafael Payare, Christian Vasquez among others. In 2017 she was accepted into the Catalonia Higher School of Music, after which she received a scholarship to study at Texas Christian University. At the moment she studies music and economics at Bard College (United States).
User experience
Observer and critical, she grew up analyzing how things worked. Her curious and rebellious nature led her to wonder about new ways of doing, imagining endless possibilities to change what she didn't like. Years later, she understood that what in her childhood represented trouble, became the basis of her professional life.
She began her career in branding and strategic communication programs at MBLM Mexico, where she became Creative Director. She implemented branding programs for large companies such as Mabe, Financiera Independencia, Kaluz, Comex, Alsea, and had the opportunity to work with their great visionary Mexican leaders.

Currently, as Director of Innovation of Ábargon, she consults companies such as Marzam, Gayosso, Crehana, Enroll U, Farmacias Especializadas and independent entrepreneurs to design strategies for the future and accompany them during their implementation and development. She gives talks and moderates workshops, as part of her task to break down barriers and bring Mexican companies closer to the world of innovation. Nathaniel Calhoun helps guide Singularity University's approach to changemaking and impact as a founding member and Vice-Chair of its Global Grand Challenge Faculty. He has moderated numerous SU Executive Programs and Directed SU's flagship impact program, the Global Solutions Program (GSP).
Nathaniel closely tracks innovations in emerging decentralized and platform cooperative technologies that create brand new business models and opportunities. He tracks disruptive and precedent-setting changes within policy, especially related to governance and civic technologies. He specializes in helping both private and public sector actors to understand how to leverage and prepare for the growth of these and related trends, offering a unique take on the options facing an aspiring "exponential organization."
Nathaniel also supervises the creation and implementation of digital technologies at a global scale that help alleviate poverty while increasing business literacy along with digital and financial services in Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. In the third grade of preschool, she met the Adopt a Talent Program (PAUTA), since she was very young, she has been curious and participatory in everything. Konstantin studied at the Moscow Conservatory as a cello soloist under the guidance of master cellist Natalia Tchaikovskaya. He studied in the “Life and Movement” school of music with Elizabiet Krengel. He had his debut as a soloist in 2016 with the Ollin Yoliztli Symphonic Youth Orchestra under the guidance of master Rodrigo R. Elorduy. In 2011 he won the first and third prize in the International Chamber Music Competition in Moscow. In 2002 he won the third Price in the National Competition for String Instruments in the city of Orel (Russia). His repertoire includes Bach’s suites, Haydn’s concerts in Do mayor and Re mayor, Brahms’ sonnets and Shostakovich’s My Flat Major concert, among others. He is currently a member of the Eduardo Mata Youth Orchestra of UNAM.

Jason Gardner is a former U.S. Navy SEAL, combat leader, and now a leadership instructor and speaker with Echelon Front. Jason spent nearly three decades in the SEAL Teams with eight deployments across the globe. Michael Gillam, MD, FACEP, is CEO of HealthLab, a discovery automation company for “big data” and machine intelligence models. He has helped build and sell companies to WebMD and Microsoft and built a direct-to-consumer digital athletics company whose mobile app was called “game changing” by Apple and put in a commercial. He has served as a partner level executive in Microsoft and advised companies, health ministries and NGOs regarding their healthcare data strategies particularly in China and the Middle East. Dr. Gillam was research director for the big data aggregation solution, Azyxxi, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2006 to become one of their flagship products for healthcare, renamed Amalga.
He is a board certified emergency medicine physician who trained, practiced, and taught at Northwestern University in Chicago. He written over fifty papers and abstracts and has eleven patents in healthcare technology. He has served as Chair of Informatics for both the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine and the American College of Emergency Physicians. Dr. Gillam is a judge on the IBM AI XPrize, was the chief clinical judge for the Qualcomm Tricorder XPrize, and also served as a judge on the Nokia Sensing XPrize. Dr. Gillam founded and ran healthcare innovation labs for almost 10 years in Microsoft and in Washington D.C. and led projects spanning: predictive analytics; anomalous event detection; natural language processing (NLP); gesture-based interfaces; de-identification; personal health records (PHRs); virtual & augmented reality; and medical robotics.

Bohdanna is the Managing Director of International Summits at Singularity University. She oversees the execution of Global Licensing SU’s International Summits, impacting and educating over 100,000 people on exponential technology and how to use that technology to solve the world’s largest challenges.
Bohdanna works with partners from all over the globe, including South Africa, India, Western and Eastern Europe, Canada, Central America, Asia, and South America. Between 2016 – 2019 Bohdanna will have managed 45 summits around the world. Her talent lies in her ability to build strong relationships, respect regional traditions, and customs, all the while empowering her partners to produce impactful summits for thousands of participants in their country. Recognized as one of the 100 Powerful Women of Mexico by Forbes, Leticia is a General Partner of LEAP Global Partners (http://www.leapglobalpartners.com/), a venture capital fund based in San Francisco that invests in Latin American startups and entrepreneurs. She is currently CEO of LMJC Advisory Services, an innovation and strategy advisory company that works with funds, startups, and corporations in Mexico and the United States. In 2008, Leticia founded Crea (http://crea.org.mx/), a social company that she ran until 2016 and has served more than 150,000 women at the base of the pyramid with business development services.
Crea has been recognized as one of the most important social enterprises in Mexico and Latin America. In 2016 Leticia founded Machine, a technology innovation laboratory in insurance and pensions that, together with insurance brokers, different insurance companies, reinsurers, and pension funds, transformed the insurance market. In 2017 launched Kimmo, a paid auto insurance app per kilometer and Asegura Todo, the first insurance sales and care chatbot in Latin America that during the earthquake of 2017 gave away 10,000 two-month house-room policies.

Her most notable work includes UX design for DARPA’S Big Dog, Principal Experience Designer on the HoloLens Project at Microsoft, HMI for Toyota’s AiCar, and Principal UX at LEAP Motion.
Today, she is a Futurist and Product Designer working to define the future of human machine interface (HMI) through radical inclusion by leveraging brain machine interface, sensors, robotics, AI, and AR/VR. She also travels the world speaking about the future of these technologies and their impact on the world for Singularity University and groups like WIRED, Google, and TEDx.

Professor Dr. Arturo Molina is Vicerrector for Research and Technology Transfer at Tecnologico de Monterrey. He received his PhD degree in Manufacturing Engineering at Loughborough University of Technology, England in July 1995, his University Doctor degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Budapest, Hungary in November 1992, his M.Sc. degree and BSc. in Computer Science from Tecnologico de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey.

He has offered seminars and conferences in USA, Canada, Europe, Asia and Latin America. He is in the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Computer Integrated Manufacturing and Annual Reviews in Control. He has worked as a consultant for important Mexican corporations, World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) and United Nations Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Task Force. He has participated as senior researcher at the European Projects ECOLEAD (European Collaborative networked Organizations LEADership initiative) funded by the 6th Framework of the European Commission and S-MC-S (Sustainable Mass Customization – Mass Customization for Sustainability funded by the 7th Framework of the European Commission, and as a senior consultant at the Latinamerican projects PYME CREATIVA (Acronymun in Spanish for CREAtion of Information Technologies for Value Added Networks) sponsored by the IADB and IBM Sur Grant, and the PyME CREATIVA II – technology transfer to Peru sponsored by IADB.
He is founder and co-owner of one technology-based company: IECOS - Integration Engineering and Construction Systems www.iecos.com He is the co-author of over 150 scientific papers in journals, conferences, chapter books, more than 4,000 citations (Google Scholar) and has 3 patents, and 8 patent solicitations and he is editor and author of 14 books. His current research interests include concurrent engineering, technologies for rapid product design and manufacturing, enterprise integration engineering, technology management, and collaborative networked organizations, he has applied research and development for the economic sectors of: automotive, construction, energy. He currently is the technical leader of the project: Bi-National Laboratory on Smart Sustainable Energy Management and Technology Training, funded by SENER – CONACYT, with the objective to design and implement 18 laboratories, to create 4 international research networks, to develop 8 research projects, design and execute 10 MOOC courses to prepare 15,000 people in subjects relevant to energy sector, and 155 graduate students.
Orchestra of the Americas
Venezuelan violist, was born in Yaritagua-Yaracuy on April 03, 1994. He started his musical studies in 2006 in the national system of youth orchestras. He joined the Yaracuyana Youth Symphony Orchestra, National Children’s Symphony Orchestra and the Venezuelan Teresa Carreño Youth Symphony Orchestra. He made several international tours with these orchestras, performing in important theaters in Europe and Asia. He was violin instructor at the “Sinfonía por el Perú” musical program.

Rogers, Jr. is the CEO and co-founder of LM Industries, a technology company that designs, builds and sells vehicles and other high-technology products in partnership with other global manufacturers. This disruptive company is redefining the rapid development of connected hardware by pairing advanced manufacturing with open innovation tools. LM Industries is the first company to utilize Direct Digital Manufacturing (DDM), as evidenced when it debuted the world’s first 3D-printed car, the Strati, in September of 2014. Rogers founded LM Industries after serving for seven years in the United States Marine Corps, where he was an Infantry Company Commander. Alix Rübsaam is a researcher in philosophy of technology, cultural analysis, and posthumanism. She is a PhD candidate at the University of Amsterdam and the Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis (ASCA). There, she researches the collaboration between human and nonhuman (technological) agents at the intersection of humans and computational systems. As a Faculty Fellow at Singularity University she investigates the societal and cultural impact of exponential technologies. Her focus is on changing ideas about humanity in technological contexts such as Artificial Intelligence, (autonomous) robotics, information technologies, and digital environments. Additionally, Alix has written about cyberpunk and science fiction literature, autonomous weapons, and embodied robotics. She has an MA in Cultural Analysis and has graduated from Singularity University’s Graduate Studies Program in 2015. Her most recent publication is a chapter in Augmented Intelligence: The Future of Work and Learning (2018).

RobotiX has impacted beyond 1,100 learning centers and more than 160,000 children nationwide; equivalent to 1% of the population in the Basic School system. Amin is the CEO of T Labs. He was formerly the director of strategy and Vice President of Strategic Relations at Singularity University. He brings a unique set of technological, entrepreneurial and policy perspectives to the dialogue of innovation on campus. Before Singularity, Amin founded for-profit and social impact organizations in a range of domains including: artificial intelligence, peer to peer lending, bitcoin, human rights, international development, carbon offsetting, and solar energy.
Google Search ranks him as the world’s best guitar player – a title he readily rejects. In addition to his work at Singularity, he is building the World’s first hedge fund for the poor, as well as Reversopedia – a reverse encyclopedia composed of things we know we don’t know. On November 2016, he was included in "Innovators under 35 Mexico 2016", an award from MIT Technology Review. His work at Bitso has been recognized by Endeavor (Global Endeavor Entrepreneur), MassChallenge (2016 Gold Winner), the President of Mexico (Digital Leader Mexico), among others.

Alexa is a lawyer for the Escuela Libre de Derecho and a teacher for the Northwestern University School of Law, with a focus on negotiation, mediation and arbitration. For three consecutive years, she has been part of the "Future leaders in arbitration" list published by Global Arbitration Review and has been recognized among the best arbitration lawyers in Mexico by Who’s Who Legal.
She is a certified private mediator before the CDMX Alternative Justice Center and Vice President of the Mediation Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). During his career, Alexa has been involved in matters related to investment protection, hydrocarbons, mining, sovereign debt, pharmaceutical, infrastructure, and conflicts between shareholders, among others.
She also dedicates part of her time to promoting gender equity in Mexico; She is part of the Consultative Council of the Women's Forum for the Economy and Society in Mexico and in 2015 he was selected as Rising Talent of this forum worldwide.

Fourteen year old Tilly Lockey’s life has been positively impacted by advancements in robotics and technology. Originally from the United Kingdom, Tilly serves as an inspirational role model and real life example of the possibilities that the future holds, as she travels around the world speaking.
She was diagnosed with meningococcal septicaemia at a young age and sadly lost both of her hands. She now has customised hero-arms, specifically designed to fit her needs, that are made by Bristol-based Open Bionics. They are the worlds first clinically approved 3D printed bionic arms that allow for multi-grip functionality and offer empowering aesthetics. This lightweight and affordable myoelecttic prothesis can grab, pinch, high five, fist bump and give thumbs up. They also allow her to pick up small objects, play computer games and do online-makeup tutorials. Tilly is at the forefront of testing the technology and has played a huge role in working with the company on various updates.
